Following a demand from one of our members, I would like to give you more information about myself who I am, what I did and what is my level of legitimacy.
I have been working as a professional blogger for 5 years and I held successively different positions : Product Manager, Marketing and Sales Manager in Fashion Accessories. Two years ago, I built my own company 'UrbanEars' with strong constituents of product : good price, fashionable and recognizable product and useful product for everyday life.
UrbanEars doesn't want to be the brand the most paid of the year, UrbanEars wants to respond to a demand by the best way!

WeSC and its vision of tribute
After Steve Jobs' death many people and companies declared that they were really upset and sad about his disappearance.
WeSC had the idea to do its tribute by urban tags with Apple's codes : colors and shape of apple.
To me, they thought more about business than real homage. Indeed, this is also a way to do advertisement via sad news. I don't think this will give them a nice brand image : using "street art" is more for a rebellion than a tribute.

Indeed, I'm working for StreetEars and will give you everything you have to know about the sector of headphones and what competitors do to communicate around their products.
I'll focus my work on what we could call "fashion headphones" made by brands like :
WeSC, Monster Beats by Dre, Soul by Ludacris, Marshall, Coloud, SkullCandy, Panasocic and brands from textile industry (Fenchurch, Nixon, Matix...)

Skullcandy and its sponsorship
It has been said on Skullcandy blog, the DVD "Twe12ve" is out in stores!
Skullcandy is a great sponsor for Snowboard, Ski, Surf or FMX athletes that's why they do the promotion for this DVD.
But a big mistake was written : they made the confusion between Bode Miller (skier, gold medalist at Vancouver 2010) and Bode Merrill (snowboarder)
